Looks like the day is 'contained' only by tiny dots, albeit almost a real boundry but not quite.

I like the movement in this piece. It seems to me festive rather than melancholy though.

Thank you so much. I guess one could see it as festive for different reasons, but it is mostly melancholic. BUt to try to see your point: each break can have the illusory power of a new beginning. But a break is not at all easy; not in the least.

Change is never easy, even when it's good change. :D After looking at this again, I think the part of this that makes it seem festive to me is the sideways smilie face on the right hand side.

looks like there's a few smiles in this. I guess if you turned it upside down they would become a sad face.

I saw a sad bird in this, it's head lowered, it's beautiful wings frazzled.
