On one possible difference between purple, violet, and crimson.
I am told that purple veers towards the red part of the color spectrum; to the depths. I am told that violet veers towards the blue section of the spectrum; to the skies. Yet, I think, crimson does not veer; rather, it reaches out and directly touches the palpitating color of our very own vital warm-blooded existence. Crimson, this crimson flower, reaches out in an instant to those very same palpitating fluids which rush forth at the presence of the beloved. Crimson veers directly towards us.
